Her research mainly focuses on the taxonomy, biology and conservation, systematics and phylogeny of the hoverfly genus Eumerus. She has participated in numerous national and European projects and is currently involved in TaxoFly (Taxonomic resources for European hoverflies) and SPRING (Strengthening pollinator recovery through indicators and monitoring). As an assessor, she was involved in more than 100 assessments for the European Red List of Hoverflies.
